- Day 1Entebbe · Lake Victoria
Land at Entebbe International (EBB). Skip the airport hotel — private transfer 40 minutes to Latitude 0° on Lake Victoria (or Protea Hotel Entebbe for a shorter arrival window). Sundowners on the lake, quiet dinner, early night. Your bush bag stays packed — the aircraft weight limit is 15kg, soft-sided only.
- Day 2Entebbe → Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Scheduled light aircraft charter Entebbe → Kihihi (approx. 1h20). Met on the strip and driven 1.5 hours through tea and banana country into the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Check in for two nights at Bwindi Lodge (Volcanoes Safaris) — eight cliff-top bandas facing the forest canopy, gorillas sometimes visible from your deck. Afternoon: optional Batwa community walk with a former forest-dwelling elder, or a village-and-tea-fields stroll.
- Day 3Gorilla Trek · Buhoma Sector
The main event. 07:30 briefing at the park HQ (5 minutes from the lodge), then into the forest with an armed ranger, tracker team and a habituated gorilla family — trek time anywhere from 45 minutes to 6 hours depending on where the family slept. One extraordinary hour with them once found. Porters ($20 each) carry your pack. Return to Bwindi Lodge for a long shower, a stiff drink and dinner around the fire.
- Day 4Bwindi → Entebbe · Depart
Slow breakfast, drive back to Kihihi airstrip, scheduled light aircraft to Entebbe. Day-room at Latitude 0° if you have an evening international flight. Home with the best story of your year.

- 2 nights Bwindi Lodge, Buhoma — fully inclusive of meals, most drinks, laundry
